Son of a Farmer from a Remote Village in Maharashtra Achieves All India Rank 1 in JEE Mains admin, April 26, 2024 Nilkrishna Gajare, a farmer’s son from a remote village, accomplished the remarkable feat of securing All India Rank 1 in JEE Mains. Hailing from Belkhed in Washim, he devoted over 10 hours daily to preparation, following a rigorous schedule. The results of the JEE Mains, conducted by the National Testing Agency, were announced on Thursday. In an interview with PTI, Nilkrishna’s father, Nirmal Gajare, expressed his uncontainable joy at his son’s success. Nilkrishna underwent his primary schooling at Rajeshwar Convent in Akola and J C High School in Karanja Lad in Washim, living with his aunt at that time. Nirmal Gajare noted Nilkrishna’s academic brilliance and proficiency in sports, including participation in district and national level archery tournaments. Continuing his education at Shree Dnyaneshwar Maskuji Burungale Science and Arts College, Shegaon, the 19-year-old’s daily routine involves waking up at 4 am, studying for two hours, engaging in “pranayam” (breathing exercises), and resuming study from 8.30 am until bedtime at 10 pm. Nirmal Gajare, thrilled by his son’s achievement, emphasized his aspirations for Nilkrishna’s success in both academics and life, expressing pride in motivating him to accomplish dreams that he himself could not.
