Thai Model’s Body Found in Bahrain Morgue After a Year of Being Missing

Kaikan Kaennakam went missing about a year ago. Recently, the body of the 31-year-old Thailand model was discovered in a morgue in Bahrain. According to reports, she had left her home country to find work and had been living in Bahrain for three years. She had informed her family that she was living with her Bahraini boyfriend, but suddenly stopped all communication with them in April 2023, causing her family to worry.

Despite their efforts, they were unable to reach her. In January of the current year, her family sought help from the Thai embassy, but unfortunately, they were unable to locate her. It was not until April 18 that the Thai embassy informed the family that the body of an unidentified Southeast Asian woman was found in the morgue of the Salmaniya Medical Complex. With the help of a tattoo on her leg, the family was able to identify the body as that of Kaikan Kaennakam.

The cause of her death was determined to be acute cardiopulmonary failure due to alcohol poisoning. However, her family believes that her death is suspicious and is seeking assistance to repatriate her body. Kaikan’s sister expressed the family’s concerns in a post and mentioned that Kaikan had been working in Bahrain for a few years and had a boyfriend there, but all communication with her ceased in April of the previous year.
