2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar Gain Sympathy Wave, Says Chhagan Bhujbal

Bhujbal highlighted the complexity of the political landscape in Maharashtra, where there are now two factions each of Shiv Sena and NCP pitted against each other. He also mentioned the impact of these developments on the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, noting a perceived sympathy wave in favor of certain parties.

Despite these complexities, Bhujbal emphasized that the people’s faith is still in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and they desire a strong government led by him. He also expressed sadness about the contested election in Sharad Pawar’s bastion between two family members, expressing his disappointment in the situation. Furthermore, Bhujbal discussed the implications of the NDA’s slogan for winning 400 seats and the perception that it might lead to amending the Constitution, stating PM Modi’s reassurances about the strength of the Constitution. He also mentioned the conflict over ticket distribution within the NCP and his decision not to contest from the Nashik Lok Sabha seat.

Bhujbal stressed that he did not ask for the ticket and was reluctant to contest without proper respect, expressing his disappointment with the delayed announcement of his nomination. He reflected on his long history in politics and his reluctance to seek tickets, ultimately deciding not to contest due to the lack of timely recognition.
