Amit Shah’s Dig at Akhilesh Yadav: Unable to Locate Yadav Outside Your Family?

The Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, delivered a speech in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri, accusing the Samajwadi Party (SP) of perpetuating ‘family-based politics’. He criticized the SP for fielding candidates from the Yadav family and urged the people to reject such family-run parties. Shah claimed that the upcoming election was crucial for the progress of women, farmers, and youth, emphasizing that it was a contest between those who attacked Karsevaks and those who built the Ram Temple.

He rallied for the BJP, asserting that under PM Modi’s leadership, the BJP would secure a victory in Mainpuri. Shah also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, refuting Gandhi’s remarks about BJP’s stance on reservation. He assured the audience that BJP supports the reservations for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

Shah highlighted PM Modi’s commitment to the welfare of the backward classes and the poor, in contrast to the opposition’s alleged history of attacking reservation policies. Bringing attention to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, Shah expressed confidence in BJP’s victory, claiming that BJP was poised to win 80 out of 80 seats in the state. He highlighted the BJP’s performance in the 2019 elections, where it secured a majority of seats.
