Asaduddin Owaisi’s Response to PM Modi’s Comment on Muslims’ Contraceptive Use and Infiltrators

Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of AIMIM, responded to a remark by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Hyderabad. Owaisi criticized the PM’s statement about “those who have the most children” and mocked the ruling party’s ‘Modi ki guarantee’ tagline. He emphasized that population growth and fertility among Muslims have decreased according to data from the Modi government. Additionally, Owaisi remarked that “Muslims use condoms most” and accused the PM of instilling fear among Hindus that Muslims will become the majority community.

The BJP and the Prime Minister have not yet responded to Owaisi’s comments. The ongoing feud between the BJP, Congress, and opposition parties intensified after Modi’s comments at an election rally in Rajasthan. He criticized the plans in the Congress’ manifesto for an “economic and institutional report” as part of the national caste survey and connected it with a remark by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Modi raised concerns about the distribution of property to those with more children and to infiltrators.

Additionally, a complaint was filed against Rahul Gandhi, and a notice was sent to BJP chief JP Nadda and his Congress counterpart Mallikarjun Kharge. The matter was to be responded to by 11 am. Hyderabad, along with the rest of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to vote on May 13, with results announced on June 4.
