Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Election Commission Requests AAP to Change Campaign Song; Atishi Asks about BJP admin, April 28, 2024 The AAP has been engaged in a conflict with the Enforcement Directorate regarding the apprehension of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders associated with the Delhi liquor policy case. The AAP claims that the case has been fabricated. They asserted that their recent song, which does not mention the BJP or violate the model code of conduct, includes factual videos and incidents. The party alleged that the Election Commission has not taken action on alleged poll code violations by the BJP. The EC has returned the said advertisement with the request to modify its contents, stating that the song does not comply with the guidelines. The song was unveiled at the party headquarters on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to hear a petition filed by Mr. Kejriwal challenging his arrest. Mr. Kejriwal had previously informed the Supreme Court that his arrest was an unprecedented attack on the principles of democracy. He contended that the manner and timing of his arrest just before the Lok Sabha elections, when the model code was in effect, speaks to the arbitrary nature of the agency.
