Amit Shah Hits Back on Prajwal Revanna Sex Scandal: “I Want to Ask Priyanka Gandhi…

This morning, Mr Shah spoke to reporters about the BJP’s clear stand on supporting women in the country, stating that they stand with “matrushakti” or mothers and women. He questioned the lack of action from the Congress government, emphasizing that it is the state government’s responsibility to address law and order issues. Mr Shah also expressed the BJP’s support for a thorough investigation into the case, condemning it as a serious matter that cannot be tolerated. He called out the Congress leadership, particularly Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, for not taking action despite being in power.

Mr. Shah highlighted the criticisms of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Ms. Gandhi over the scandal involving a JD(S) leader, Prajwal, who is contesting in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls from Karnataka’s Hassan constituency. The JD(S) has distanced itself from the BJP in the case, and Prajwal has denied the allegations against him as “doctored” in a police complaint. Alleged videos of Prajwal surfaced a day after his constituency went to polls, and he subsequently left for Germany while a probe is pending against him. The police have filed a case of sexual harassment and stalking, and the Karnataka government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that the SIT plans to ask Prajwal to return to India.
