BCCI Selectors Meeting Jay Shah to Finalize T20 World Cup Squad; Report on Hardik Pandya’s Place

The BCCI selectors are set to meet Jay Shah to finalize the T20 World Cup squad. The BCCI secretary is the convenor of the senior selection committee for men. Due to Shah’s political commitments, the meeting is expected to take place in Ahmedabad.

Rajasthan Royals captain Samson has been a consistent performer for his IPL side, but his No. 3 batting slot is unlikely to secure him a place in the India team. Some argue that despite his good IPL season, his T20I performance with an average of 20 and a strike rate of around 135 does not merit his consideration.

On the other hand, there is support for Rahul’s inclusion in the team. While some believe his T20 approach is outdated, others argue that he is a better option than Samson at No. 5 or 6 on slower Caribbean tracks, especially after he scored a fifty during the last game in Lucknow.
