PM Narendra Modi Informed Pakistan Before Revealing 2019 Balakot Strikes to the World

During a poll rally in Karnataka’s Bagalkot, Prime Minister Modi emphasized his belief in confronting challenges openly and directly, stating that he does not believe in attacking from the back. He recounted an instance when he had instructed the forces to inform the media and Pakistan about airstrikes at night, but Pakistan did not respond to the communication attempts. Despite the lack of response, he asked the forces to wait and subsequently disclosed the airstrikes to the world after informing Pakistan. He highlighted that he does not hide things nor engage in covert attacks, preferring to operate openly.

PM Modi issued a warning to those who target innocent people within the country, asserting that this is a “New India” where the enemy will be confronted and dealt with within their own territory. He referred to the Indian warplanes’ attack on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist training camp in Balakot, Pakistan, which was carried out as a response to the Pulwama terror attack on February 26, 2019.
