Amit Shah hits back on Prajwal Revanna sex scandal row, saying “I want to ask Priyanka Gandhi.

This morning, Mr Shah addressed reporters, reiterating the BJP’s stance to stand with the “matrushakti” (mothers or women) in the country. He criticized the Congress for not taking action on the issue, highlighting that it falls under the jurisdiction of the state government. Mr Shah stressed the need for a probe into the case, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter.

He called on Congress, particularly Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, to question the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister about their inaction despite being in power. Ms Gandhi had earlier criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the sex scandal involving the JD(S) leader, Prajwal, who is contesting the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. The JD(S) has distanced itself from the case, with Prajwal denying the allegations against him as “doctored” in a police complaint.

The alleged videos of him surfaced a day after his constituency went to polls, following which he left for Germany. The Karnataka government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter and has expressed intentions for Prajwal to return to India for questioning.
