Amit Shah hits back on sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna, saying “I want to ask Priyanka Gandhi…

This morning, Mr. Shah stated the BJP’s clear position on the issue, expressing support for “matrushakti” (mothers or women). He questioned the Congress Party, which is in power, about their lack of action in the case, emphasizing that it is a law and order issue that falls within the state government’s jurisdiction. The Union Minister stressed the seriousness of the matter, expressing the BJP’s stance in favor of a thorough investigation.

He called on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to inquire with their Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister about their inaction. Previously, Ms. Gandhi had criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection to the sex scandal involving a JD(S) leader. Prajwal, a sitting MP from Karnataka, has been accused in the case, which the JD(S) has distanced itself from.

He has refuted the allegations as “doctored” in a police complaint. The alleged videos of him emerged a day after his constituency’s polls, after which he left for Germany pending the investigation. A case of sexual harassment and stalking has been filed against him, leading the Karnataka government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the matter.

The SIT plans to request his return to India, as stated by Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara.
