Mumbai Indians Team Penalized for Code of Conduct Breach, Hardik Pandya Faces Major Fine

Mumbai Indians’ captain, Mr. Hardik Pandya, has been fined for his team’s slow over-rate during Match 48 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants on April 30, 2024. This was their second offence of the season, resulting in Pandya being fined INR 24 Lac. Additionally, all other members of the Playing XI, including the Impact Player, were individually fined either INR 6 Lac or 25 per cent of their respective match fees, depending on which is lesser.

In the match at the Ekana Stadium, Mumbai Indians lost by four wickets. Despite contributions from Nehal Wadhera (46), Ishan Kishan (32), and Tim David (35 not out), they managed to score a below-par 144 for seven. With this loss, MI’s IPL standings have slumped to seven losses in 10 games, while Lucknow Super Giants have climbed to the third spot with their sixth win in 10 games.
