Arvind Kejriwal in Charge of Delhi Congress from Jail: Former Party Member Resigned

The Congress leader expressed dissatisfaction about the candidature of Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj in the Lok Sabha elections. Former MLA Naseeb Singh attributed the current condition of the Congress party to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing APP of conducting “false propaganda” against the Sheila Dixit government in Delhi and the UPA government in the Centre.

A group of senior leaders and ex-MLAs who were part of the Sheila Dixit government in Congress voiced their opposition to the alliance with AAP, citing the derogatory language used by AAP and their hostile stance towards the Congress leadership. However, their concerns were disregarded by the high command, leading to the alliance.

Singh emphasized that the alliance seemed to be focused on one seat, as the ideologies of Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj did not align with the Congress party. Singh also alleged that the Delhi Congress Committee is being influenced by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from Tihar Jail.

He criticized the absence of Kharge ji’s picture by Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj, questioning the party’s integrity in pursuit of power. Neeraj Basoya criticized the party’s decision to form an alliance with AAP, deeming it as “totally wrong, unrealistic and unnatural.”

Basoya expressed his discontent with the alliance, highlighting AAP’s focus on Kejriwal and the absence of discussions about Congress’ promises and leadership. He raised concerns about the party’s inability to understand the justification for the alliance and the lack of recognition of Congress leaders by AAP.

The text also noted the imprisonment of the top three leaders of AAP and the seat-sharing agreement for the Lok Sabha elections between Congress and AAP in Delhi. The elections for the seven seats in Delhi will be held on May 25, with the results declared on June 4.
