Comedian Shyam Rangeela Announces Bid to Challenge PM Modi in Varanasi

Rangeela recently expressed his excitement for the love and support he’s been receiving after announcing his intent to contest elections from Varanasi. In an upcoming video message, Rangeela promised to share his views on his nomination and election campaign. In an earlier post, Rangeela cited the uncertainty surrounding candidates withdrawing their nominations as a reason for contesting elections from Varanasi. During a media interaction, Rangeela mentioned his past support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

However, he stated that his perspective has evolved over the last decade, leading him to contest as an Independent candidate against the Prime Minister in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Furthermore, Rangeela emphasized that his candidature would provide the people of Varanasi with an additional voting option, distinguishing it from other constituencies like Surat and Indore. He announced his intention to file his nomination against Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his visit to Varanasi. Finally, in a social media post on April 25, Rangeela sought opinions from his followers on whether he should file the nomination as an Independent candidate from Varanasi.
