Deve Gowda’s Grandson Accused of Sex Scandal Will Return Within a Week, According to Lawyer admin, May 1, 2024 Janata Dal Secular leader Prajwal Revanna, who has been accused of raping multiple women, is expected to return within a week to cooperate with the investigation, according to his lawyer Arun G. In an exclusive interview with NDTV today, Arun G stated that Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and the MP from family turf Hassan, has left the country after videos surfaced on social media, sparking controversy during the general election. The lawyer asserted that there was no rape and mentioned that he has not viewed the videos, which led the state women’s commission chief Nagalakshmi Choudhary to label it as the “biggest scandal of the country.” However, he emphasized that they will allow her to perform her duties while they focus on their own responsibilities. Arun G also indicated that there is a discrepancy in the inference drawn from the videos, stating that it is inappropriate and that they have not benefitted from it. Currently, they have access to the First Information Report and will review any available evidence. The police case against Mr. Revanna was filed based on a woman’s complaint alleging abuse by the MP and his father, HD Revanna. This issue has also become a significant political matter, with the BJP in alliance with Mr. Devegowda’s Janata Dal Secular in Karnataka. The state BJP leaders have distanced themselves from the matter, and the Hassan MP has been suspended by his party. Furthermore, HD Kumaraswamy, the party chief, has emphasized that there can be no forgiveness for anyone who has committed a crime. Janata Dal Secular
