Dubai Receives Unstable Weather Warning: Beaches, Exercise Caution While Driving

Dubai Downtown offers a striking view, featuring the world’s tallest building, Burj Al Khalifa. However, the area is currently facing potential safety concerns due to anticipated unstable weather conditions. The Dubai Police recently issued a public warning advising people to steer clear of beaches, refrain from sailing, and avoid valley areas, torrential rains, and low-lying places.

Motorists are also urged to exercise caution while driving. This advisory comes in response to a forecast from the UAE for medium to heavy rains over the next two days, starting from Wednesday evening. In light of the expected weather, companies have been advised to allow employees to work remotely from home.

Dubai Airports has also issued guidance for passengers regarding the inclement weather expected tomorrow. Travelers are encouraged to begin their journey early and allocate extra travel time to reach the airport on time, whether by car or public transport. On April 16, the UAE experienced record rainfall, leading to widespread flooding and disruption in various regions, including Dubai and northern cities.

This event marked the heaviest rains recorded in the country over the past 75 years.
