India Could Participate in Champions Trophy in Pakistan, According to PCB’s Proposal to ICC admin, May 1, 2024 The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that it will host the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy in 2025. The tournament will take place in three cities, namely Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, with the final match scheduled to be held in Lahore. During a recent visit to Lahore, the ICC general manager Wasim Khan discussed the arrangements for the Champions Trophy with the PCB top brass. It was suggested that the Indian team’s travel itinerary be kept to a minimum. As a result, the Indian team may play its initial qualifying round games in Karachi before moving on to the knockout venues. Due to restrictions limiting the Indian cricket team’s engagements to ICC tournaments, they have not played in Pakistan since 2008. Last year, the Indian cricket board did not send the national team for the Asia Cup, which was ultimately held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in a hybrid model. Renovation work on the stadiums is expected to commence soon in preparation for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in February-March 2025. Champions Trophy
