Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik’s Assets Worth Rs 71 Crore Declared admin, May 1, 2024 Naveen Patnaik, the candidate from Hinjili Assembly constituency, recently filed his nomination papers. The BJD chief had declared assets totaling Rs 63.87 crore in 2019. Mr. Patnaik is seeking election for the sixth time in the Hinjili assembly segment and submitted a 64-page affidavit along with his nomination papers. In the affidavit, he listed movable assets of over Rs 14.05 crore and immovable properties worth Rs 57.02 crore. His movable assets include term deposits in various banks and post offices, while his immovable assets consist of Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar valued at Rs 13.66 crore and a house at APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi worth Rs 43.35 crore. He has a 50 per cent share in the New Delhi residence and a two-thirds share in Naveen Niwas, Bhubaneswar. Additionally, the affidavit states that he possesses 45.77 grams of rubies, diamonds, and silver buttons (five pieces) valued around Rs 4.17 lakh. It also mentions that he has Rs 30,000 in hand and a 1980-model ambassador car. The value of the vehicle is Rs 6,434 at present, down from Rs 8,905 five years ago. In the tax returns, Mr. Patnaik declared an income of Rs 92,24,900 for 2022-23 and stated that he has no liabilities. Furthermore, he affirmed that no criminal case is pending against him.
