Rupali Ganguly, TV Star, Joins BJP, Citing Admiration for PM Modi’s Work

Today, actress Rupa Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The event occurred at the party’s headquarters in Kolkata and was attended by several senior BJP leaders, including national general secretary Vinod Tawde. Ms. Ganguly cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and his efforts in driving development as the reason for her decision to join the party. She expressed her intention to follow in the footsteps of Prime Minister Modi and work under the guidance of Amit Shah.

Her goal is to serve fellow citizens in any role entrusted to her. Upon her joining, Mr. Tawde criticized the Opposition over Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam’s appeal for ‘love jihad’, and highlighted that such statements show their agitation. He emphasized the contradictory actions of the Opposition, referring to their offering of OBC reservation to Muslims while also invoking the concept of ‘vote jihad’ during elections.
