Rupali Ganguly, TV Star, Joins BJP, Citing Impression of PM Modi’s Work

Today, actress Roopa Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kolkata ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The event was attended by senior BJP leaders, including national general secretary Vinod Tawde. Ganguly expressed her admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his work, stating that she felt compelled to be a part of the development push led by him.

She expressed her intention to follow in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and serve fellow citizens in any role entrusted to her, while also committing to work under the guidance of Amit Shah. Vinod Tawde welcomed her into the party and used the opportunity to criticize the opposition over a statement made by Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam regarding “vote jihad.” Alam had urged voters to engage in “vote jihad” to dislodge the BJP from power, and Tawde characterized this as a sign of their agitation.

He also criticized the Opposition for offering OBC reservation to Muslims while promoting the concept of “vote jihad” during elections.
