TV Star Rupali Ganguly Joins BJP, Attracted by PM Modi’s Work

Today, actor Roopa Ganguly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kolkata, ahead of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The event saw the attendance of senior BJP leaders, including national general secretary Vinod Tawde. Ganguly expressed her admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his work had motivated her to join the party.

She emphasized her intention to follow in the footsteps of PM Modi and to serve fellow citizens under the guidance of Amit Shah. During Ganguly’s induction, Mr. Tawde took the opportunity to criticize the Opposition, referencing Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam’s appeal for ‘love jihad’ during the elections. He highlighted a comment from Alam which called for a “vote jihad,” and emphasized that it demonstrated the Opposition’s unease.

Tawde also criticized the Opposition for offering OBC reservation to Muslims while simultaneously discussing ‘vote jihad’ during elections.
