He also accused the Centre of misusing central agencies and highlighted the arrests of prominent leaders in alleged corruption cases. Thackeray expressed regret for backing Narendra Modi in the past and accused the BJP of betraying Maharashtra. He also alleged that the BJP used the Shiv Sena in the Lok Sabha elections and then schemed to defeat its candidates in assembly polls. Thackeray and Pawar also shared the stage at a rally in Kolhapur city for Congress candidate Shahu Chhatrapati. Pawar criticized PM Modi for targeting Thackeray and himself and vowed that the people of Maharashtra would teach him a lesson.
