Unstable Weather Alert in Dubai: Caution Advised for Beaches and Driving

The Dubai Police issued a public safety warning this evening due to expected unstable weather conditions. The alert warns people to stay away from beaches and avoid sailing, as well as valley areas, torrential rains, and low-lying places. Additionally, caution is advised while driving vehicles.

This comes after the UAE issued an alert for medium to heavy rains for two days, starting from Wednesday evening. Companies have been encouraged to ask employees to work from home, and Dubai Airports also issued advisories for passengers related to the inclement weather expected tomorrow. Authorities advised travelers to start their journeys early and allocate extra travel time to reach the airport in time, regardless of whether they are traveling by car or public transport.

On April 16, the UAE experienced record rains that brought parts of the country to a standstill, causing heavy flooding in some neighborhoods, including in Dubai and northern cities. These were the heaviest rains experienced by the United Arab Emirates in the 75 years of recorded history.
