Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted the difference between her father and Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the understanding of sacrifice in the context of dynastic politics and inheritance tax. PM Modi had made comments on Rajiv Gandhi’s inheritance tax policy, which prompted Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to express her perspective at a rally in Morena, Madhya Pradesh.

She emphasized that her father did not inherit wealth but the spirit of martyrdom from his mother, stating that this sentiment is beyond Modi’s comprehension. She also shared personal experiences, including her initial disbelief and the impact of her father’s martyrdom, indicating that Modi’s understanding lacks depth on such matters.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra underlined the heartfelt connection with martyrdom that she observed in the families of soldiers after the Pulwama attack, expressing that this sentiment is beyond Modi’s grasp. Continuing, she accused Modi of only seeing dynastic politics and not recognizing the patriotism and service to the nation that is embedded in the sacrifice of martyrs like her grandmother and mother.
