Prajwal Revanna Driver Disappears Amid Investigation into Leaked Sex Tapes

Prajwal Revanna’s obscene video showing sexual harassment and abuse of women has stirred up the political circles in Karnataka ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. There are reports that Prajwal Revanna, the sitting MP and NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, has asked for time to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and is expected to arrive in Bengaluru on May 15 midnight. The SIT has not responded to his request yet.

Meanwhile, the former driver of Prajwal Revanna, who confessed to providing the pen drive with the videos of the JD(S) leader sexually abusing women to a BJP leader, has disappeared following a SIT notice. Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that influential leaders are involved in the driver’s disappearance and alluded to Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar. In response, Shivakumar denied involvement and questioned who sent the driver to Malaysia.

Dy CM Shivakumar also responded to the Leader of Opposition’s demand for the government to vacate the seat of power if it is unable to arrest Prajwal Revanna, urging BJP leaders to meet the victims of the video scandal and assure them of justice. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written to the Prime Minister urging him to cancel Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport. The JD(S) suspended Prajwal Revanna after the Congress government in Karnataka formed the SIT to probe allegations of sexual abuse against him.

Prajwal Revanna has commented that he is not in Bengaluru to attend the inquiry and has communicated through his advocate to CID, Bengaluru. In a social media post, Prajwal Revanna requested seven days to appear before the SIT.
