Prajwal Revanna’s Driver, Involved in Sex Tape Leak, Disappears During Investigation

Prajwal Revanna’s obscene video, depicting sexual harassment and abuse of women, is causing a stir in Karnataka’s political circles as the Lok Sabha elections approach. The sitting MP and NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, Prajwal Revanna, had requested time to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and is expected to arrive in Bengaluru on May 15th. However, the SIT has not responded to his request yet.

Additionally, the former driver of accused Prajwal Revanna, who admitted to providing a pen drive with the videos of the JD(S) leader sexually abusing women to BJP leader Devaraje Gowda, has disappeared following a SIT notice. The driver, who had worked with Prajwal Revanna for 13 years, had fallen out with him a year ago over an alleged land deal. Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that some influential leaders are behind the driver’s disappearance, implying Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar’s involvement, and questioned who sent the driver to Malaysia.

In response, Dy CM Shivakumar has denied involvement, stating, “I am not crazy to send him abroad. I am a street fighter. There is no necessity for me to carry out politics by hiding people.”

He also urged not to divert from the real issue surrounding the scandal. In reaction to demands by Leader of Opposition R Ashoka, Dy CM Shivakumar emphasized that those in constitutional positions should address the issue and provide support to the victims. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport.

The JD(S) suspended Prajwal Revanna after the Congress government formed the SIT to investigate the allegations against him. Prajwal Revanna has communicated through his advocate, expressing his intention to cooperate with the authorities. In a social media post, Prajwal Revanna requested seven days to appear before the SIT.
