Prapaporn Choeiwadkoh, a well-known politician from Sukhothai province in Thailand, found herself at the center of a scandal that ignited debate on social media. Reports alleged that the 45-year-old politician was discovered in bed with her 24-year-old adopted son, Phra Maha, who is also a monk. The situation unfolded as Choeiwadkoh’s husband, identified as Ti, drove for five hours and caught them together.

He had become suspicious of their relationship and devised a plan to catch them in the act. The couple had adopted Phra Maha from a temple the previous year, with Choeiwadkoh expressing pity for him, according to a report by South China Morning Post (SCMP). The news of this scandal sent shockwaves through social media in Thailand and neighboring countries.

Many users expressed disbelief, with one person quoted by SCMP describing the situation as sounding like pure fiction due to its dramatic and chaotic elements. Another user remarked on the unusual dynamics of the situation, pointing out the significant age differences and the controversial nature of the adoption. To further complicate matters, a video featuring Choeiwadkoh has surfaced on various social media platforms, reportedly recorded by her husband.

In the video, he is heard questioning her and Phra Maha about their relationship, with Choeiwadkoh defending herself by claiming that they had not engaged in sexual activities, but were simply chatting. Phra Maha also defended his innocence, stating, “Nothing happened,” as per SCMP. Choeiwadkoh, who holds a prominent position as the president of a local chamber of commerce, has been a member of the Democrat Party since March of the previous year but has been suspended by the party pending an investigation into the scandal.
