BJP Leader takes a jab at Akbaruddin Owaisi, triggered by Navneet Rana’s 15-second statement.

Ms Rana, a former independent MP from Maharashtra’s Amravati, made remarks about Akbaruddin Owaisi’s 2013 statement, commenting on his call to remove the police for 15 minutes and claiming that it would only take 15 seconds for her to respond. She also made controversial comments about Madhavi Latha and voters of the Congress and AIMIM.

In response to Ms Rana’s remarks, a 39-second video clip of her rant was posted on her X account, tagging the Owaisi brothers. Asaduddin Owaisi, in turn, challenged Ms Rana to follow through on her statements and expressed his readiness for any confrontation.

The confrontation between Ms Rana, Ms Latha, and Asaduddin Owaisi highlights the high-tension battle for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, traditionally held by the AIMIM leader since 2004. The BJP has never won this seat, and their candidate in the 2019 election received significantly fewer votes than Mr. Owaisi.

Mr. Owaisi has already had a confrontation with his rival for this election, which was widely criticized. Ms Latha posted a statement offering an apology if anyone’s feelings were hurt but also claimed that the circulated video was incomplete, alleging a conspiracy against the BJP.

The Lok Sabha elections in Telangana are scheduled for May 13th, along with the other 16 seats.
