She emphasized her commitment to providing leadership to the INDIA alliance and offering assistance from outside to ensure the welfare of the people in Bengal. However, she clarified that the INDIA bloc does not include the CPM or the Bengal Congress, as they are aligned with the BJP and not with her alliance. At this stage, 70% of the seats in the country have completed their elections, with three rounds still remaining, including in Bengal. The BJP, having secured a strong presence in the Hindi heartland, aims to make gains in the south and in Bengal, where it is focusing on securing the 42 Lok Sabha seats.
