Neighbour Stabs Karnataka Woman, 20, To Death After She Rejects Advances in Hubbali News

The accused, Girish Sawant, is currently evading capture as the police search for him. Early this morning, 21-year-old Girish Sawant reportedly entered Anjali Ambigera’s home and repeatedly stabbed her with a knife while she was sleeping. It is believed that Girish had been pressuring Anjali to start a relationship with him, and her refusal triggered the attack.

The victim’s body was recovered by the police, and heart-wrenching scenes showed her relatives grieving as the body was taken for autopsy. The murder took place in Veerapur Oni village, as reported by Hubbali-Dharwad police chief Gopal Byakod. He stated that the case has been registered and further investigations are underway to determine the motive behind this tragic incident.

A team has been assembled to apprehend the perpetrator. This incident comes shortly after the shocking murder of 23-year-old Neha Hiremath by her former classmate Fayaz Khondunaik on a college campus in Hubbali less than a month ago. Fayaz had stabbed Neha multiple times and, despite being rushed to a hospital, she was declared dead.

During interrogation, the attacker claimed that he was in a relationship with Neha, who had begun avoiding him suddenly.
