Amit Shah Takes Aim at Congress for Years of Looting the Country

Amit Shah criticized the Congress and its leaders, claiming that they engage in dynastic politics and prioritize their family members for positions of power. He emphasized that he believes in letting the people decide, rather than reserving seats for political families.

Shah also denounced the Congress for its handling of Article 370 and lauded Prime Minister Modi for its abrogation, stating that it has curbed terrorism and reinforced India’s claim over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He accused the Congress of corruption and expressed confidence in the Modi government’s ability to bring the corrupt to justice.

He praised the development initiatives in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Modi and Yogi Adityanath, highlighting achievements such as the construction of expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, and the establishment of a film city and a toy park. He also commended the state government for improving law and order by cracking down on criminal elements.

The impending general elections in the constituencies of Amethi and Rae Bareli, traditionally associated with the Gandhi family, have gained attention, with Rahul Gandhi contesting in Rae Bareli and a close aide of the family competing against Smriti Irani in Amethi. The Congress, which won only two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, suffered a further setback in the 2019 elections, losing in Amethi and retaining just one seat in Rae Bareli.
