Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress, Accusing Them of Plundering the Country for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, emphasizing the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after a long wait. He dismissed Congress’s claims regarding the Pran Prathishtha and warned that the party intends to put a lock on the mandir if it comes into power. Shah accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, citing examples such as Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi’s desire to promote their family members in politics. He stressed that the power should lie with the people and not with any particular family.

Shah also condemned the Congress’s stance on Article 370, highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s decision to abrogate it. He asserted that this action has effectively curbed terrorism and emphasized India’s claim over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Additionally, Shah accused the Congress of corruption and stated that the Modi government intends to prosecute the corrupt individuals. Furthermore, Shah expressed support for the double engine government in Uttar Pradesh, attributing development in the state to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

He lauded the infrastructure projects in the state, such as expressways, metro networks, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park, while commending Yogi Adityanath’s efforts to eradicate criminal elements. Additionally, with the upcoming elections in Raebareli and Amethi—considered traditional strongholds of the Gandhi family—Shah noted the entrance of Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli and the nomination of Kishori Lal Sharma against Smriti Irani in Amethi. He highlighted the Congress’s decline in Uttar Pradesh, winning just one seat in 2019 after losing Amethi, with the disclaimer that the story remained unaltered by NDTV staff, published from a syndicated feed.
