Amit Shah Takes Aim at Congress: Accuses Party of Plundering Country for Many Years

Amit Shah, in his recent speech, criticized the INDIA alliance, focusing on various aspects of the Congress party’s approach and policies. He highlighted the delay in the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the Congress party’s opposition to the Pran Prathishtha, suggesting that if the Congress came into power, they would place a lock on the temple. Shah also accused the Congress of promoting dynastic politics, asserting that political seats should be decided by the people, not by familial connections. Addressing the issue of Article 370, Shah credited Prime Minister Modi for its abrogation and claimed that it has halted terrorism in the country.

He took a jibe at the Congress, labeling the party as corrupt and asserting that the Modi government would put all corrupt individuals behind bars. Shah praised the development in Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine” government, citing the construction of 14 expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park. He also commended Yogi Adityanath for curbing criminal activities in the state. Amethi and Raebareli, considered strongholds of the Gandhi family, regained attention as Rahul Gandhi entered the fray in Raebareli and a close aide of the family was fielded against Smriti Irani in Amethi.

In the 2014 elections, Congress won two seats in Uttar Pradesh (Raebareli and Amethi), but their tally reduced to just one in 2019 after losing in Amethi.
