Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress, Accusing Them of Plundering the Country for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, emphasizing the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after a lengthy wait. He dismissed the Congress’s claims that the Pran Prathishtha had not been conducted properly and warned that if the Congress were to come to power, they would lock up the Ram Mandir. Additionally, Shah accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, citing examples such as Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi pushing for their family members to assume leadership roles.

He emphasized that the people should have the final say in such matters, rather than political families controlling specific seats. Shah also targeted the Congress over their handling of Article 370, praising Prime Minister Modi’s decision to abrogate it and asserting that it has effectively curtailed terrorism and reclaimed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He accused the Congress of corruption and vowed that the Modi government would take action against corrupt individuals.

Furthermore, Shah commended the progress in Uttar Pradesh under the double engine government, attributing the state’s development to Modi and Yogi Adityanath. He highlighted infrastructure projects and initiatives such as expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park, while also asserting that goons had been eradicated from the state. Regarding electoral dynamics, the focus has returned to Amethi and Raebareli, traditionally considered strongholds of the Gandhi family.

Rahul Gandhi’s entry into the fray in Rae Bareli and the selection of Kishori Lal Sharma as a Congress candidate in Amethi have reignited interest in these constituencies. Notably, the Congress won only two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, subsequently losing Amethi in 2019 and decreasing their tally to just one seat.
