Amit Shah Takes Aim at Congress: “Country Plundered for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, claiming that the Congress is involved in dynastic politics, with leaders aiming to secure positions for their family members. He highlighted that the party’s approach goes against the principle of allowing the people to choose their representatives rather than reserving seats for specific families.

Shah also condemned the Congress’s stance on Article 370, stating that while the party did not act against it, Prime Minister Modi abrogated the article, resulting in a significant impact on terrorism in the country. He asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir belongs to India and emphasized that there is no fear in addressing such issues.

Characterizing the Congress as corrupt, Shah emphasized the government’s commitment to bringing those responsible for looting the country to justice. He praised the progress seen in Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine government” led by Modi and Yogi, citing developments such as expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park as evidence of the state’s growth.

The focus has returned to Amethi and Raebareli, traditional strongholds of the Gandhi family, as Rahul Gandhi has entered the race in Rae Bareli, and a close aide has been fielded against Smriti Irani in Amethi. The Congress’s electoral performance in Uttar Pradesh has seen a decline, with the party losing Amethi in 2019 following a win in just two seats in 2014.
