Amit Shah Takes Dig at Congress: “Country Looted for Many Years

Amit Shah, in his criticism of the INDIA alliance, emphasized the significance of the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He accused the Congress of undermining the consecration of the temple and warned of their intention to seal it off if they come into power.

Shah also highlighted what he perceived as dynastic politics in the Congress, where family relationships determine political roles. He insisted that it is the people who should decide such matters, and not the family lineage.

Shah also criticized the Congress for its inaction on Article 370, commending Prime Minister Modi for its abrogation and his efforts to combat terrorism. He condemned the Congress as corrupt and pledged that the Modi government would hold the corrupt accountable.

He praised the governance of Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine” of the state and central governments, noting the development in the state and the eradication of criminal elements by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The focus then shifted to the constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli, traditionally held by the Gandhi family.

The recent entry of Rahul Gandhi in Raebareli and the contest between Kishori Lal Sharma and Smriti Irani in Amethi have raised interest in these areas. Furthermore, the decline in Congress’ seat count in Uttar Pradesh, from two in 2014 to just one in 2019 after losing Amethi, reflects a significant shift in the political landscape.
