Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress for “Looting Country for Many Years

Amit Shah, in a strong statement, criticized the alliance with India. He mentioned the delayed construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He slammed the Congress, stating that if they were to come into power, they would lock the temple.

He also criticized the dynastic politics of leaders like Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi, implying that seats belong to the people, not any particular family. Shah attacked the Congress over their handling of Article 370, praising Prime Minister Modi for its abrogation and the crackdown on terrorism in the country. He claimed that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is rightful Indian territory and expressed the government’s lack of fear.

Additionally, he branded the Congress as corrupt and emphasized that the Modi government would put all corrupt individuals in jail. He lauded the development in Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine government” of Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting achievements such as expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park. Notably, the constituencies of Raebareli and Amethi, traditional strongholds of the Gandhi family, have once again become focal points as Rahul Gandhi has entered the fray in Rae Bareli, and Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma has been pitted against Smriti Irani in Amethi.

The Congress had secured two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, but this figure dwindled to one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
