Amit Shah Takes a Dig at Congress for Plundering the Country for Many Years

Amit Shah, criticising the INDIA alliance, emphasized the significance of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, stating that the Congress has disputed the legitimacy of the Pran Prathishtha. He warned that if the Congress were to come into power, they would place a lock on the temple. He also accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, particularly singling out Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi for promoting family members in politics. Shah asserted that political power should be determined by the people rather than reserved for any specific family.

Shah criticized the Congress’s handling of Article 370, attributing its abrogation to Prime Minister Modi. He commended the Modi government’s actions in combating terrorism and claimed Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of India. He also accused the Congress of widespread corruption, vowing that the Modi government would hold corrupt individuals accountable. Further, Amit Shah praised the development initiatives in Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine” government of Modi and Yogi Adityanath.

He highlighted the infrastructure projects, including expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park. He also commended Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in maintaining law and order in the state. Notably, the constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli, traditionally considered strongholds of the Gandhi family, have once again come under the spotlight. Rahul Gandhi has entered the political fray in Rae Bareli, while the party’s close associate Kishori Lal Sharma has been fielded against Smriti Irani in Amethi.

The Congress had won only two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, with their tally reducing to just one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
