Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress for “Looting Country for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the India alliance, stating that the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was delayed, and accused the Congress of suggesting that the Pran Prathishtha was not done correctly. He warned that if the Congress came to power, they would lock the temple. Shah also condemned what he referred to as dynastic politics within the Congress, highlighting the ambitions of Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi for their family members to hold key positions. He emphasized that the people should have the final say, and asserted that there are no reserved seats for a political family.

Furthermore, Shah attacked the Congress over its handling of Article 370, claiming that while the Congress failed to take action, Prime Minister Modi successfully abrogated it. He praised Modi for addressing terrorism and claiming ownership of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He also accused the Congress of corruption and vowed to imprison corrupt individuals under the Modi government. Shah lauded the development initiatives in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Modi and Yogi Adityanath, citing the establishment of numerous infrastructure projects.

He highlighted the reduction of criminal activities in the state. The focus then turned to the constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli, traditionally considered strongholds of the Gandhi family. Shah noted the significance of these areas, especially with Rahul Gandhi contesting in Raebareli and a close aide of the Gandhi family being fielded in Amethi. Additionally, the decline in the Congress’ electoral success in Uttar Pradesh was mentioned, with the party’s representation reducing from two seats to one between 2014 and 2019.
