Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress for Plundering Country for Many Years

In a speech criticizing the Indian National Congress, Amit Shah expressed his satisfaction with the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, citing instances where Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi sought to secure positions for their family members. Shah stressed the importance of the people’s choice in determining political leadership, emphasizing that no seats should be reserved for a particular family. Shah also condemned the Congress for its stance on Article 370, crediting Prime Minister Modi for revoking it and claiming that this action has curbed terrorism in the country.

He accused the Congress of corruption and promised that the current government would punish all corrupt individuals. He praised the developmental efforts in Uttar Pradesh, attributing the progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He highlighted infrastructure projects and initiatives such as expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park in the state. The upcoming elections in Amethi and Raebareli, traditional bastions of the Gandhi family, have garnered attention, particularly with Rahul Gandhi contesting from Raebareli and a close aide being fielded in Amethi.

The Congress’ performance in Uttar Pradesh has seen a decline, having won only two seats in the 2014 elections and just one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
