School Principal in UP Accused of Raping 15-Year-Old Girl, Who Attempts Suicide: Police

A teenage girl has been admitted to the district hospital in a serious condition, as reported. DK Mishra currently serves as the principal in Rambali Sharma Saraswati Bal Mandir School within the jurisdiction of the Bharwari Municipal Council under Kokhraj police station.

The principal was filmed in an objectionable condition with the girl, a resident of a village in the police station area, and the video went viral on social media four days ago. Following an investigation into the viral video, a case was registered against the principal based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family.

The case includes sections 376 (punishment for rape), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC, IT Act, and POCSO Act. Circle Officer Sirathu Awadhesh Kumar Vishwakarma formed a team to investigate the case and apprehend the accused.

Vishwakarma mentioned that the teenage girl attempted suicide by jumping in front of a freight train on the Delhi-Howrah railway line on Saturday, resulting in serious injuries. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and admitted the girl to the district hospital for medical treatment.
