Salman Khan tells police about gunfire at home; involved in firing case with Lawrence Bishnoi

Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz provided statements to the Mumbai police regarding an incident where two bike-borne men opened fire outside Salman’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra. The shooters were allegedly hired by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang and had conspired to attack Salman Khan. Salman Khan revealed that he woke up to the sound of gunshots on April 14, as the shooters fired outside his residence.

A four-member team, including an officer of the Mumbai Crime Branch, visited Salman Khan’s house on June 4 to record their statements. During the questioning, Salman Khan expressed his gratitude to the officials for their help during the investigation. Salman Khan recalled being at home on the day of the incident after a late-night party, and the sound of a bullet hitting his balcony woke him up.

His brother Arbaaz, who was at his Juhu residence at the time, was aware of the threats issued by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to Salman Khan. The statements of both brothers were recorded, with Salman Khan’s statement taking three hours and his brother’s taking two hours, during which over 150 questions were asked. Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, was also present at home during the firing, but his statement has not been recorded due to his advanced age.

However, the crime branch will record his statement if required. Following the incident, four suspects were arrested, two in Gujarat and two in Punjab. It was revealed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had allegedly planned to strike Salman Khan’s car in Maharashtra’s Panvel, using weapons sourced from a Pakistani arms supplier.

The gang reportedly acquired high-caliber weapons from a Pakistani arms dealer with the plan to ambush Salman Khan’s vehicle or attack his farmhouse.
