NEET Row: Aspirants Demand CBI Probe into Irregularities in Supreme Court admin, June 13, 2024 The court has requested the Centre to respond to allegations of irregularities in a recent exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) awarded grace marks to some candidates due to a wrongly printed question, torn OMR sheets, and delays in OMR sheet distribution. The Centre and NTA informed the Supreme Court that they had cancelled the grace marks given to 1,563 candidates who took the exam for MBBS and similar courses. These candidates can choose to retake the test or forgo the compensatory marks for the loss of time. The exam took place on May 5 at 4,750 centers, with around 24 lakh candidates appearing for it. Although the results were anticipated on June 14, they were announced on June 4, possibly due to early completion of answer sheet evaluations. MBBS Exam Irregularity
