The victims were from various Indian states, with most of them being from Kerala. Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, arrived in Kuwait to coordinate with the Kuwaiti government for the repatriation of the victims’ remains and to ensure the well-being of the injured. He visited hospitals where the injured Indians were being treated and interacted with them. The hospital authorities reported that the patients were in stable condition and would be discharged based on their medical progress. Kirti Vardhan Singh also met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, who expressed condolences on behalf of Kuwait’s ruler and assured support for the repatriation of the victims’ remains and medical care for the injured. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has been providing constant support to the affected families and has set up a dedicated 24×7 helpline for them. Regular updates are being provided through the helpline. India sent a C-130J Aircraft to bring back the bodies of the deceased Indians. The statement also mentioned the distribution of victims from different Indian states. The Minister’s visit aimed to ensure the early repatriation of the mortal remains and the well-being of the injured. The embassy expressed its deepest condolences to the affected families and assured necessary assistance to the injured and evacuated individuals.
