Body of Missing American Citizen Discovered In Himachal Pradesh by Police

The police reported that Trevor Bokstaahlar (31) had gone missing during his visit to the Spiti Valley, prompting the formation of a search team. They conducted searches in various areas of Kaza and found a rented motorcycle belonging to the American citizen near a deserted area close to Tashigang.

However, no further clues were discovered. A drone from the Dogra Regiment of the Army identified a parachute stuck in a ravine between Kee and Tashigang a day later, and it was suspected by the police to belong to Trevor, who was a base jumper, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Lahaul and Spiti, Mayank Chaudhary.

Teams from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were then deployed to carry out a rescue operation and bring down Trevor’s body. The police considered the incident as appearing to be an accident, and the information was shared with the American Embassy, with the SP stating that they were in constant contact with them and that the body would be handed over to them after the completion of formalities.
