Google Launches Gemini’s Mobile App in India, Available in 9 Languages.

The Gemini app offers users in India a variety of ways to seek assistance, including typing, talking, and adding images. Available in English and nine local languages—Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu—the app caters to a diverse user base.

Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the expansion of Gemini’s capabilities, with plans to include these local languages in Gemini Advanced. This includes the launch of Gemini in Google Messages in English, providing users with even more ways to engage with the app.

Gemini Advanced users in India now have access to Gemini 1.5 Pro, the most advanced model, in all nine languages. Additionally, new features such as enhanced data analysis capabilities and file uploads will be unlocked in Gemini Advanced, along with the ability to chat with Gemini in Google Messages, starting in English.

The rollout of Gemini access on iOS will be initiated directly from the Google app over the coming weeks. Notably, Gemini Advanced boasts the longest context window among widely available consumer chatbots, with a 1 million token context window.

Furthermore, Gemini will be introduced in Google Messages, providing users with an additional platform for collaboration with the app on their phones.
