Indian-Origin Man Murders Woman from Punjab, Injures Another in the United States

The police have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind a shooting incident, during which two women were found with severe gunshot wounds. The victims, identified as Jasvir Kaur, 29, and her 20-year-old cousin, were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, Jasvir Kaur succumbed to her injuries, while her cousin remains in critical condition.

The suspect, 19-year-old Gaurav Gill of Indian origin, has been taken into custody and faces multiple charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder, and weapon-related offences. The motive behind the shooting is currently unclear, and it is unknown whether the suspect had any prior relationship with the victims. Following the incident, the Indian consulate in New York expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased and stated that they are in touch with the authorities to follow up on the case.

The house where the victims lived is owned by Gurmukh Singh, who described Jasvir Kaur as a hard-working and kind individual. Gaurav Gill was apprehended by law enforcement after hours on the run, and the police are working to unravel the motive behind the tragic shooting.
