Cockroach Discovered in Meal Served on Vande Bharat Train, IRCTC Reacts

IRCTC issued an apology for a couple’s unpleasant experience while traveling on the new Vande Bharat express train from Bhopal to Agra, a 550 km journey taking about seven hours. During their journey, they received a meal with an unexpected addition – a cockroach. Upset by the poor hygiene standards, a man named Vidit Varshney posted a picture of the meal on social media, calling out the Railways Minister and the IRCTC, and requested stringent action against the food vendor to prevent such incidents from occurring again.

The IRCTC responded, apologizing for the experience and assuring that the matter was being taken seriously, with appropriate penalties imposed on the vendor. In separate incidents, disturbing surprises were found in products received by consumers. A woman in Bengaluru discovered a live Spectacled Cobra wrapped around the packaging of her Amazon-delivered Xbox controller.

In Mumbai, a doctor found a human finger in his online-delivered ice cream, describing the experience as traumatic. Another customer discovered a dead rat in a bottle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup she ordered through a different platform. These unsettling incidents have understandably caused distress among consumers.

Each of these incidents underscores the importance of maintaining stringent quality standards and hygiene practices throughout the supply chain, as well as prompt and effective actions to address such unacceptable occurrences.
