Hoax Bomb Threat at Indore Airport Leads to Registered Case admin, June 21, 2024 On Tuesday, the airport authority received a bomb threat through an email. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Alok Kumar Sharma stated that an unidentified person sent the email, threatening a bomb blast on the airport premises. In response, the airport authorities implemented security measures and conducted a drill, with the participation of local police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Following an investigation by the police and CISF, the threat was determined to be a hoax. A case under section 507 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the unidentified person for criminal intimidation by anonymous communication. Earlier on June 19, the Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport in Indore, Madhya Pradesh also received a bomb threat via email, leading to a police investigation. The airport authority reported the issue to the Aerodrum police station, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Zone 1) Vinod Kumar Meena confirmed the receipt of the threat. The airport authority filed a complaint at the Aerodrum police station, and the police initiated a case while also requesting information from Gmail about the issue.
