Jagan Reddy Renames Party Leader After Failing To Defeat Pawan Kalyan

In the lead-up to the elections, the YSRCP leader issued a challenge that he would defeat Mr. Kalyan. Following Mr. Kalyan’s victory from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency, the septuagenarian changed his name. Mr. Reddy clarified to the media, “Nobody forced me to change my name.

I have changed it on my own volition.” Yet, he expressed dissatisfaction, alleging that fans and followers of the Janasena chief were harassing him. Mr. Reddy stated, “The youth who love you (Kalyan) are incessantly dropping expletive messages.

In my view this is not right. Rather than abusing, do one thing…eliminate us (all family members).” A few months before the elections, Mr. Reddy had joined the YSRCP.
